Aerosol

Over the years, various regulations have been introduced to adapt aerosol product standards—both regarding the mixture and its container—to technological advancements (such as innovations in propellants) while addressing safety needs. These regulations aim to expand the usability of aerosols in various applications without increasing consumer risk.

In parallel, legislators have improved labeling requirements over time, aligning them with the CLP Regulation on the classification, labeling, and packaging of substances and mixtures. This ensures greater consistency in the information provided on products and improves both understanding and safety for end users.
Flashpoint offers a range of services to support compliance with these requirements, starting with consulting on the Hazard Label for aerosol products, including appropriate warnings and precautionary advice for consumers. We provide guidance during Testing and Certification phases for safety tests on pressure and safety standards, preparing the detailed documentation required for certification and placing on the EU market.

We also assist with the carriage of aerosol products, which are typically flammable under CLP and subject to dangerous goods transport regulations across all modes (road, rail, sea, air). Finally, we support the management of aerosols at the end of their lifecycle, including waste handling.
